Skoda’s most awaiting mid-range SUV Kushaq is open for booking. Skoda Kushaq has just revealed its price in India, it is available in the price range of INR 10.5 Lakh to 17.6 Lakh. Official dealer of Skoda Nepal MAW Enterprises announced that it had opened bookings for the Kushaq. The company plans to introduce Skoda Kushak next month in Nepal.

MAW Enterprises, an official dealer of Skoda in Nepal, plans to launch Kushak in July. The Skoda Kushak is an SUV made with 95% localization, due to which its price is expected to be competitive in Nepal. The new SUV is built on Volkswagen’s MQB-AO-IN platform.

Engine transmission

Kushak is the first SUV to be unveiled under Skoda’s India 2.0 project. Kushak with 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine will be imported to Nepal. The TSI engine is the most successful engine to win the much-awaited International Engine Award. This engine produces 115 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque which is the best in class. The TSI engine will be available in both manual and automatic.

Feature

The new Kushak has two-spoke steering wheel, electric sunroof, ventilated front seat and dual zone climate control. Wireless phone charging, touch screen infotainment system is also available. The vehicle will also have features like multifunction steering, hold hold control, keyless entry start and exit system.

This mid-range SUV has built on the MQB AO IN platform that is designed with the ability to run off-road. It is 4225 mm long, 1760 mm wide and 1612 mm high. It also has a wheelbase of 2651 mm which is the highest in the segment. The ground clearance of Kushak is 188 mm.

Security Features

For safety, Kushaq will have 6 airbags, a rear parking camera, an Isofix child seat mount, auto headlamp and wiper, multi-collagen braking system. The ESC in the SCOD will be in all variants which is the first in the segment. Therefore, tire pressure monitoring and hold hold control will also remain. All variants will have front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.

Variants and colors

The new Kushaq will be available in three trims – Ambition, Active and Style – Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel, Honey Orange and Tornado Red.

Price

Skoda Kushaq will compete with a mid-range SUV. In Nepal’s auto market, Kushaq will compete with Hyundai Creta and Kia Celtos. The price of Kushak in Nepal is estimated to be between Rs 5 million and Rs 6.5 million.
