Pioneer MotoCorp has started bookings for Nissan’s first electric car Leaf in Nepal. Pioneer MotoCorp, the official distributor of Nissan has priced the LEAF at Rs 59.99 lakh. Customers who want to buy Nissan’s Leaf can book by paying Rs 200,000.
According to the company, customers who book a Nissan Leaf will receive delivery by the end of August 2021. Nissan Leaf will come to Nepal in only one variant. The regular model Leaf available in Nepal will have a 40 kWh (Kilo-watt hour) battery. The electric motor output of this vehicle will be 110 kW. It has an electric motor of 147 horsepower and will have front-wheel drive.

The Nissan Leaf can travel 363 kilometers on a full charge. according to the company. However, since the condition of the road and the environment determine its range, it can be estimated that the range will be around 300 km.
The car is available in a hatchback model and seating capacity for 5 people. It has three different driving modes available for extra battery performance. The company claims that driving in Eco mode brings 10% more range than usual.
It will take about 16 hours to charge the battery with a 3 kW capacity AC charger. Using a 6 kW charger, you can fully charge in 8 hours. It takes 60 minutes to charge up to 80 percent when charged by a DC fast charger.
